Every website needs someone keeping it on track
Behind every website launch is someone who scoped the work, turned a client's wishlist into something developers could build, and kept everyone moving toward the same date. That's project management. It's also one of the least talked-about career paths in digital.
Our new project management internship is built to change that.
What you'll actually do
For 8 weeks, you'll sit inside our Design & Development team and shadow one of our project managers on live website projects. We mostly build in Craft CMS, so you'll see how a site goes from first conversation to launch day, including:
- how we scope and estimate a project
- how we plan the work with designers and developers
- how we keep clients in the loop, including when the news isn't great
- what happens when a project doesn't go to plan, because sometimes it won't
This is a learning internship, and it's unpaid. We don't expect you to do our team's job. You're here to ask questions, watch how the work runs, and get your hands on real projects along the way.
You don't need to code
Plenty of good project managers didn't start in tech. Our Head of Design & Development didn't either.
What matters more is how you work. If you're organised, good with people, and happy to keep asking questions until things make sense, you're off to a good start. Your experience might come from hospitality, retail, events, education or somewhere else entirely. All of it counts.
